You have the balls to show this innocent little girl in this photo in front of the VIP Berlin location, but didn’t show the photos of neighbors using children to protest the store’s original application. Why don’t you show the graffitti on the back wall (acknowledged by Berlin police as defenitely the work of adults), or should I get the list of adults who were on the news protesting, who were good customers of the Video Bug (of Berlin) porno section of rentals. These people will be exposed at some time in the future. How about the fact that certain town officials are known to frequent strip clubs. Why don’t the people of Berlin spend their tax dollars on putting more than three teeth in their mouths, than bitch about this business.

This photo perfectly illustrates why this is a totally inappropriate location for VIP.

This innocent little girl is not in front of the VIP Berlin location. This innocent little girl is standing in HER OWN DRIVEWAY! (which happened to be in the process of being widened when this pic was taken, thus the mud) I didn’t go out of my way to “stage” this photo, I was just taking pictures of the work being done in the yard at that time. She has a right to play in the driveway. It just happened that your totally inappropriate billboard truck came and parked there like it does several times a week.

The picture of the children in front of my yard right after the original application was made public already ran in the local paper, long before I started this blog. The point was to show how many children (at least 45) live in close proximity to the store. The children themselves were not protesting, as most of them are too young to even know what the fuss was about. Once again, your traveling mobile billboard just happened to come park in the lot while that picture was being taken. (even back in September, I have had to see that truck out my living room window. How would you like it?) If I had started my blog at that time, I would have featured the picture.

Ditto with the graffitti on the back wall, which I also find offensive, and, odd, but I was told by the police that it was clearly kid stuff. That got plenty of coverage in print and TV news.

As far as the list of adults who might patronize adult stores (yours or any other) or strip clubs,I really don’t care what adults do. The whole point is that this location is not zoned for adult businesses. (Are YOU implying that they are doing somsething wrong by renting porn videos?)I am not saying your store should not exist, or that adults shouldn’t have the right to such material. I am saying that don’t have the right to sell that material within 250′ of residential property.

That you are threatening to expose people who might patronize adult businesses is stupid, because if you do, people will wonder about just how confidential your own business is. Whether people are customers of adult businesses has nothing to do with one protesting one abutting their neighborhood.

You’d bitch about this business too, if your child had to play in her own driveway and have an image like the one on your truck a few yards away.

By the way, the first comment was made by Gary Porter, VIP manager:

  4. Let’s recall that Gary makes a living selling movies like Terrible Teen, Young & Tight, Barely Legal, New C_nts, Don’t Tell Mommy, and Little Girl Next Door. His newfound concern for the misuse of young people is remarkable.

Spoken like someone who’s really interested in supporting the town and “community service.” Also slighty ironic that someone whose clientele is also susceptible to stereotype (which Gary and his shills vociferously deny) would resort to calling Berlin residents toothless hicks.
